↞ 2031 ♦ 2033 ↠ |
The Eurovision Battle Royale 2032, also known as the Eurovision 2032, or the EBR 2032, or more simply host country 2032, was the 17th annual edition of the Battle Royale contest that took place in England. A total of 55 countries announced their intent to participate in the event. The Battle Royale consisted of three semi-finals, with each starting 24 hours after the one that preceded it.
The host country, England, was the winning nation of the 16th edition the year before, which gave them automatic hosting responsibilities for this edition, as well as automatically qualifying them to the Grand Final. The other countries were obliged to compete in three semi-finals, with each being distributed randomly through a random draw. During the semi-finals, 36 citizens participated in a fight to the death until only between 11 and 12 citizens remained, with the remaining qualifying for the Grand Final in which another fight to the death would take place, this time until only one remained.
The winner of this edition of the Eurovision Battle Royale was Mila Raileanu of Moldova. She outlived Blanche Watson of Ireland, who finished as the runner-up after being trampled to death by wild muttation horses. Hayri Oren of Turkey, Bianka Engberg of Sweden, and Gosdan Hekimyan of Armenia completed the Top 5. The host country, England, had it's citizens finishing in 15th and 17th place.
Arena[]
Like last year, England decided to have multiple locations for the Arena, to showcase the English landscape and spread the joy of the Eurovision. It was decided on 12 August 2031 that London would host the first semi-final, the Castle and Cliffs of Dover would host the second, the Wiltshire countryside would host the third, and the Lake District of Ennerdale would play host to the Grand Final.
Format and Rules[]
The draw to determine in which semi-final each country would participate, as well as the podium numbers on which the host country's citizens would start, took place in the Palace of Westminster, on the 5th of December, 2031. Each country had until December 1st to announce their intent to participate in the Eurovision, and each country had until March 6, 2032 to submit their citizens.
The majority of countries chose their citizen through an internal selection, by means of a "Reaping". The reaping occurs when the governments of Europe, each organizes a televised lottery of their citizens where every single one, aged between 13 and 50, are obliged to have their names placed into a big pot of sorts, and after randomizing the names like a true lottery, one male and one female name are read out live on national television by government officials. These citizens are the reaped citizens to represent their country in the Eurovision. It's notable that each year the majority of citizens see this as an exciting honor, and many volunteer to be picked. To profit from this, it's necessary for each hopeful volunteer to pay money in order for their name to be entered more than once. This process could cost from as little as £50 in poorer countries, to £500 in more wealthy ones. The maximum number of times that a volunteer can have their name in a pot is 100. One would think that there wouldn't be that many volunteers for such a violent and life-ending event, but in this universe, the citizens of Europe look extremely positively on the event and see it as rebirth of the Golden Age of Ancient Greece and Rome; therefore, there are thousands of citizens each year who try to volunteer to bring glory and honor to their country.
In the build-up to the actual event, each reaped citizen is invited to many locations all throughout Europe to promote themselves, forge alliances with the other citizens, and talk with potential sponsors. These official parties are announced by the Event Organizers (EOs) usually around the start of the new year. These are televised and watched by millions as well, similar to how millions each year watch the red carpet for award shows.
The list of Official Parties for this year:
- France: Paris (14 March)
- Hungary: Budapest (28 March)
- Russia: Saint Petersburg (16 April)
- Azerbaijan: Baku (24 April)
These parties aren't obligatory however, and some alternatives to this include immediately moving into the Citizen's Village (usually a high-tec tower or complex located in or near the city center of the most populous city in the host country). In any case, citizens are obliged to move into the Citizen's Village before the X of May, 20xx. This is because each citizen needs time to get their fitness up and competitive to put on an entertaining TV show, as well as acclimate to the host country. The EOs provide each country and citizen with their own team of trainers, cooks, stylists, and other specialists free of charge to ensure that each citizen can become fit and competitive enough so the Battle Royale will be as entertaining as ever. For the month that the citizens live there, they are encouraged to learn survival techniques and work out so their chances of survival in the harsh Arena increases.
The night before the first semi-final, the Opening Ceremony takes place. Comparable to Olympic ceremonies, this ceremony celebrates the history and culture of the host country, and further includes multiple shows of firework, music, and other cultural and ethnic performances, as well as high-tec displays and other pyrotechnics. Following the cultural show is the Parade of Nations. Each citizen from the participating countries were brought into the main complex (usually the widest and biggest street in the Capitol of the host country) on high-tec self-driving chariots and shown to billions worldwide. More so, each chariot was decorated with symbols from the country each citizen is from, and followed their national flag. As soon as the pomp and celebration finished, the EOs and government officials of the host country gave speeches, the Eurovision Battle Royale flag was raised with the host country's flag, and the citizen's oath. The final event of the ceremony is the lighting of the cauldron, performed by the winner of the previous edition in every edition so far except the first.
Following the Opening Ceremony, the citizens are forced into lockdown in the Citizen's Village until their semi-final. It is forbidden for a citizen to have prior knowledge to results in a semi-final or access to anything that could give them an advantage in their semi-final. In fact, the citizens are forced to go with television and internet until their semi-final. This is to assure that the suspense is retained and each citizen participates fairly.
Tie-Break rules for the Semi-Finals[]
- Top 11 or 12 remaining citizens in each semi-final all live to compete in the Grand Final
- Of those, they are firstly ranked by number of kills they have committed.
- If all is still tied, then the Degrees of Separation Rule is enforced. (for those tied with 2+ kills, this is applied first)
- ex. Jan of Germany kills only Teo of Belgium. Teo of Belgium had killed 2 other citizens beforehand. Erik of Sweden only kills Andriy of Russia. Andriy of Russia had killed 1 citizen beforehand. Jan of Germany will be ranked higher than Erik of Sweden in the semi-finals.
- 4. If the citizens still have the same number of kills, then the tie-break favors the one that reached that number of kills the earliest. (this only applies to citizens with 1 kill)
- 5. This Degree of Separation Rule will continue until necessary.
- 6. If all is still tied, the tie-break favors those who are furthest away from pod number 18.
- 7. If all is still tied, then the citizens will share the position.
Qualification for the Grand Final[]
Thirty-six citizens participated in each semi-final. Fifty-five countries participated in the Eurovision Battle Royale this year.

The Grand Final []
Live from the Arena![]
Welcome to the start of the Eurovision Battle Royale 2032. We are coming to you live from , which is the location of this year's Arena. In just under 5 minutes, the thirty-four finalists who battled their way through the semi-finals will join the host country's own two automatic qualifiers in the Arena, where they will commence a fight-to-the-death in which only one person will be left standing. That person will forever be honored as a hero in their country and have their name etched in the history books as a Eurovision Battle Royale champion. We can only imagine how nervous the competing citizens must be.
It looks like the citizens are being raised onto their pods. With all the pomp and months of preparations over with, we can finally say with delight: let the 17th Eurovision Battle Royale begin!
Day 1 (June 25)[]
Summary []
The first person to die today was Giogoula of Cyprus, who was killed by Bianka of Sweden when the two battle over a bag at the Cornucopia. Bianka slashed her torso three times with her blade and ran off with the bag. After that, a huge upset occurred where two citizen, who many thought would be the final two remaining, fought early. Kellen of Denmark and Otto of Switzerland were the heavy favorites, yet they met at the cornucopia. Otto knocked Kellen to the ground and bashed his face into the earth until he died. Licinio was the third to die at the cornucopia, being stabbed in the chest by the much older Hayri of Turkey. In the midst of the chaos of the Cornucopia bloodbath, another surprising death took place. Rémy of Belgium, who many thought would do well, was shot with an arrow by Mila of Moldova, who was able to escape before Rémy's ally Elise could find her and kill her in vengeance. The rest of the day continued without deaths, and the citizens all spread throughout this scenic English countryside.
The leader so far is Otto of Switzerland, followed by Mila of Moldova and Bianka of Sweden.
Six citizens died, 30 remain.
Day 2 (June 26)[]
Summary []
Once again Otto of Switzerland continues his dominance of this year's Eurovision, and he is still in the lead with two kills, the latest being that of the host nation's own citizen, Summer. The young 24 year old never stood a chance against Otto, but 18 year old Elias manage to injure Otto pretty well. Alessio of Italy and Inka of Finland have both moved into contention, with each getting their first kills of the Grand Final. Lastly, Nathan was killed trying to swim across Ennerdale water, while running away from the Portuguese citizens.
Otto of Switzerland remains in the lead, followed by Mila of Moldova and Alessio of Italy.
Four citizens died, 26 remain.
Day 3 (June 27)[]
Summary []
This will by far go down as the shock of the year! Otto of Switzerland has been killed so early, by Edna of Israel of all people! No one expected it, after the semi-finals he was the odds-on favorite to win the entire Eurovision, and he got off to a great start in the Grand Final with two kills. But his fight with Elias of England left him injured, and his arrogance that he would win was apparent even before the start of the Grand Final. He was strutting through the Arena around high-noon in plain sight, looking for citizens to kill, when a dart pierced his neck. He fell to the soft ground and crawled towards the lake. Edna appeared and stabbed him six times in the back, before fleeing. Otto would die twenty minutes later from his wounds.
Edna of Israel is now in the lead, followed by Mila of Moldova and Alessio of Italy.
Three citizens died, 23 remain.
Day 4 (June 28)[]
There were no events today.
Day 5 (June 29)[]
Summary []
The glory of Eurovision is how truly unpredictable it is, and how no citizen is safe from death despite being a favorite. Once again that was proven today; Edna, the killer of former-favorite Otto, was herself killed by someone unsuspecting. No one had given Ella of Norway a thought until today. But in a twist of things, she managed to ambush Edna and defeat her in a fight, only due to a fault of Edna that gave Ella a golden opportunity to throw a knife into her chest. Inka of Finland was also killed, but by Yaroslav of Belarus, who has been quiet for the most part and was seen trying to hide again after killing her. Lastly, MIla of Moldova got two kills today, throwing her firmly into the lead to win this year's Eurovision. Will Eurovision head to Chisinau next year?
Six citizens died, 17 remain.
Day 6 (June 30)[]

Day 8 (July 2)[]
Summary []

Two citizens died, 11 remain.
Day 9 (July 3)[]
Attention Citizens, there will be a feast at the Cornucopia in 3 hours.
Summary []
What an exciting day! Not that many took the chance to go to the Cornucopia a second time, but nevertheless there was plenty of action. The biggest one was the killing of both Bosnians by the Irish citizen, Blanche. She knocked Safeta out cold when the two arrived, and pummeled the young Ezib to death. After killing Ezib, she pushed Safeta into the lake upside down and still unconscious. Safeta floated out and eventually drowned. Later, Ella timidly ran up to get a bag, but was caught off-guard by Gosdan of Armenia, who was hiding. He put her into a chokehold until she died. Lastly, Alessio and Elise had a huge showdown. The two favorites punched each other, until Alessio had Elise pinned to the ground. He stabbed her in the stomach, and it seemed all was lost until Elise noticed a hammer next to her. She reached for it, and turned it backwards to stab the pointy side into the Italian citizens' head. He died on the floor, and while Elise got away this time, her wounds seem too harsh and she is expected to die soon.
Four citizens died, 7 remain.
Day 10 (July 4)[]
Summary []

Day 11 (July 5)[]
Summary []
And that's it! So suddenly, the Eurovision has finished, and the winner of this 17th edition is Mila Raileanu of Moldova, congratulations!
